Drabble: Meeting

image

The plan had been to meet here as the sun was going down. We had to be done and out before true night fell.

It was full day when I arrived and I kept watch as the day went on. No strangers came before the others arrived.

I stayed hid as the rest of the gang showed up. They couldn’t see me but I was close enough to hear that none seemed to notice my absence or ask after me.

No matter.

None was going to ask after them either.

They thought gold was the prize.

Never thought of blood.

Weekend Coffee Share

Ah. You will find me nicely relaxed. Been a quiet week for the most part. Did have to run an errand clear across the Valley to the rich city. But it was painless.

My best friend got Sorted into Pottermore today and she’s in Slytherin! We both had a vague thought she would end up in Gryffindor but yay, my House.

Not much to talk about. Need to get on doing my A – Z posts so I can get started on Camp NaNo. Got a plot idea and actors but not sure on the casting.

Things are rather groovy at the moment, I have to say. Hope they’re the same for you. Another pastry?

See who else is having coffee.

Camp NaNo: April session

Total pantser, for a lark, and based on this pic:

Might do the ‘innocent falls into situation of danger, meets expert and they fall in love as dodge baddies’. Only as is my way have it be two fellas instead of a guy and girl.

Edit: Might blog the fic on its own blog since know it won’t be everyone’s cuppa.

Anyone else Camping?

Drabble: Light

I had been hiking the entire night though the canyon. I finally reached its end as the morning broke.

The snow extended for miles and I could not say how deep it was. The sight should have filled me with despair.

But the sun was over the horizon, sending colors to the sky and on the snow that I had never seen before.

All else was forgotten as I watched the light play over the trees. I tried to name each color I saw and failed.

I needed to continue. But for that moment, the world was still. Sacred, even.

Tea and Coffee #5

I would still be tired from yesterday but this weather begs to be out in a cafe. Cloudy, wind just a bit of cold. And the quick shower we just had.

There would have to be a raising of the cups for the loss of Leonard Nimoy. For what he gave and inspired.

I have been thinking how much I miss being in RPGs (Role Playing Game) lately. I was part of two major ones some years ago. I think one might still be active but the other folded after a little over a year. I was also a member of three smaller ones round the same time, one of which I created.

One was one Live Journal and the rest on Greatest Journal if remember right. Was a long time ago.

I would stay up til near dawn many a night writing in them. It was a fun time.

That’s probably where that thought to do the fake journal came from. To have that fantasy element outside of the fics. Step into another skin, as it were.

But today is a lazy day. It’s going to be hard to get up out of the chair. Really need to work on that teleportation. Along with the telekinesis.

Here’s the others sharing some coffee this weekend.

Drabble: Axe

image

My steps were silent. My family remained asleep.

The axe was heavy in my hand. A forgotten momento from our past. Still sharp after so many years.

I could see the red light from the fire as I made my way down the hall. This was the part where it could all go wrong. Where my plan could fall to ruin.

A careful look showed an empty room. But I still had to remain cautious.

My hand was on the latch of the door. Deep breath, then freedom.

I left my family and their peaceful ways.

My path would be war.
